Let us know if you feel you have read something special on the site.
I have been following a trip that is still ongoing by a traveler whose nick is degrubs. His reports leave me between crying and laughing! Never a dull moment on the Trans-Siberian Express or on the ground in Mongolia. cmthomas

Reply to this Howard Rachelson's page, nicknamed Howie, has some of the best photos that I've seen. Check it out.
Reply to this I have enjoyed Sean and Shannon's blog - their writing is fun and descriptive and they mention prices and descriptions of their meals which I find helpful.
JenniJen has also continued to impress me - it seems that her writing and photos get better and better the longer she travels.
Reply to this Cumberland Sausage is an amazing photographer and is really stoked about his camera (probably because it rocks) but definitely check it out. Sorry, I don't really read the entries though (no offense).
Reply to this Tommy - I'm looking forward to when you're on the road again 😊
AndyToni R Eldar another couple to check out...
For some reason friday and saturday are good days for good blogs... check out the front page for some of the most wonderful journals and photos.
Please keep recommending bloggers to us here... that's how the front page selections are made.
Reply to this bluenazar - some awesome photos in this guys journals as well - hope he's back on the road sometime soon.
Reply to this I must agree that Cumberland Sausage has the best photos I have seen. I am certainly envious of his awe inspiring shots and his incredibly well-written updates.

phabs journal is really good.
It’s quite a peculiar feeling... At first, you think someone bumped into the chair you’re sitting in, then you notice that the table is also moving, slightly, back and forth. Finally, you notice that everything surrounding you is also animated with the same rocking motion. I instinctively looked out the front door of the internet cafe where I was sitting to check if a heavy truck was passing-by, that’s when I noticed that I wasn’t the only one noticing. It reminded me of that cliché scene in horror movies in which the main characters are calmly going about their business when they notice vibrations in a glass of water, announcing the pending arrival of some sort of monster. Except that in this scenario, there are no resounding footsteps and no approaching monster: the earth itself is the villain.
Had a very similar experience in Xela (Quetzaltanengo, Guatemala).
Reply to this Loving the new look guys - extra pics on the homepage is never a bad plan!
I'm working on spreading the travelblog news to the world, and amazed by how many people already know about it. Keep up the fab work!

Reply to this Just a quick hi to all as I am new on here, live in England work in Morocco doing overland trips, but have joined to find out more on a trip I am planning next novenber, and thats a Trans Africa London -Cape Town.
Thanks.
Reply to this Would it not be possible to base all (or at least some) of the front page listings on the number of hits for that blogger in the last day/week/whatever, as that should be more representative of which blogs are proving popular? Or is there a worry that this would be abused?
Reply to this Yes - it is possible - but I have chosen not to do this. Some blogs get a huge number of hits from the search engines - not due to the quality but due to the popularity of a particular phrase. The quality is better when the featured blogs are hand picked - it isn't possible to read all the blogs anymore so we ask for suggestions here.
Reply to this I was wondering how you add other bloggers' photos to the best viewed travel photos - have trouble figuring it out.
Reply to this hi guys
somebody just showed me this forum, and i was flattered to find myself as one of the recommended bloggers. a great feeling, really!
i am still on the road, and have no real time to sit in front of the computer and read blogs, but i will give you my recommendations as soon as i return home (which will eventualy happen, sadly).
keep on the good work here,
R.
