Switzerland...where to go?

Looking for ideas of family friendly places to stay in Switzerland.

I am traveling to Switzerland from Amsterdam with four adults and four children (4yr, 5yr, 5yr, 7yr) in late August. I am looking for suggestions of where to go and stay for a week. I would like to rent a house in a small touristy town. I would like to be near hiking. I would love to be near a lake. Although I would like a small town, I would like to be able to make it there rather directly by train from Amsterdam.

Does anyone have any suggestions in terms of regions and/or specific towns?

Thanks so much for your time! Reply to this

Hi,

My B&B is located in Swiss French part with a big garden, near Geneva Lake, Lausanne, Vevey, Montreux, Aigle, Leysin, Villar-sur-Ollon, Galcier 3000, Martigny, Port du Soliel.... From Amsterdam, you take the train to Aigle, then you change at Aigle by small train AOMC direction Monthey. My Home is just 200M away from the stop St.-Triphon-Gare.

I have a small apartment with a bedroom for two people and one studio for two people with bathroom and kitchenette and a carven for 4 people to rent.

I could send you the photos of the apartment and my home if you could give me your e-mail address.

I have taken my family twice to Switzerland and we have 4 kids. Interlaken is a good choice for a family, its small but has train connections all across Europe, you are also on a lake in the Alps. If you are interested in a tour, I operate a tour that runs out of Interlaken, we put you up in your own chalet apartment and then take you all over the Alps. it is a great country for families and children!
I hope you have a blast!!
