A real climb in the morning to get to he highest point of the road. Steep, luggage but very quiet. To Coyhaique was a long distance but it was inviting to have a clean shower and a clean room. The climb went well in 1.45. Then there as another climb and downhill full wind against. One tme a came to full stop going downhill becase of the force of the wind. It would be a challenging day. I met two Dutch who came cycling from Alaska in the company of a Swiss couple. Two
French couples on a lower speed. And the miracle of the day were two cyclist from Santiago which drove 18k from the airport and thought that smoking a joint would give more energy to fight the wind. After another 7 km they were not feeling well and decided to hitch hike to Coyhaique. I had a good soup with bread at Carmencitas in Villa Blanco. The ountryside was up and down and the wind blew me almost from the road. Afeter 6,5 hours finally Coyhaique was reached. Anoher surprise The German Bolivian family already occupied the hostel. It was ┬┤erg gezellig┬┤. Food, drinks, cards and Trygonium made it a late night.
