The photos with blue sky are from my 1st day the rest with grey sky are every day since.

A favela is a shanty town where residents basically find a bit of land and build on it. The land is theres after 3 years or so. There are now 600 favelas in rio housing around 2m people. We went to the biggest and oldest. Lots of people with guns and walkie talkies and its a police free zone, other than thats its very safe!

Adios
