Punta del Este
La Barra beach After getting the complete opposite directions from a guy working at the bus station claiming he can speak so so English, I managed to get a lift from a friendly local to the 1949 hostel - this place rocks! It was basically full of Argentinian holiday makers. We met a couple of Chilean guys, Yerko and Marta who were really cool and basically weith a few others kinda formed a small group, and basically partied every night.
First day Yerko and I went to the beach in the nearby town of La barra which was quite pretty. In the evening I endoulged in their speciality, Chivito, which was basicallt a Uruguayian steak burger. We then got smashed on the beach, thanks to my bottle of Absolut then at 4:00am decided to go clubbing!
The second day we chilled at the beach, then went to this amazing restaurant for dinner. Boucs and I had a portion of ribs each as a starter! We then had the fish special for mains and finished everyone elseĀ“s too as they were struggling.
Third day we managed to get a boat to Isla de Lobos which was a cool little island, with a

Me, Marta, Yerko and Anna little restaurant on the beach pumping out reggae music, we pretty much chilled there the whole day, then got the last boat back to the hostel as we had to get our night bus to Porto Alegre (Brazil), via the restaurant again to have one last fish supper! On the way back I found R$150 - handy for Brazil!
