Peru - 3 Months I flew from San Jose back to the Uk for 2 weeks and then straight to Lima, Peru. A night in Lima then a 23 hour bus ride to arrive in Cuzco. We spent a few days here visiting the local ruins and enjoying the facilities in Cuzco to acclimatize to the altitude, the Sacsayhuamán ruins were particularly impressive. Before the tour started I walked around the area and enjoyed their manual farming techniques

We hiked for three days and began by walking down into the canyon

On the way down we saw 4 condors, a couple had at least 3 metre wing spans

In the canyon we reach the river

We come to an oasis, fed by the river

We eventually reach the bottom, cross the river to the camp

Then we walk all the way back again to Cabanaconde
