After an horrendous nights sleep on the night bus we arrived at
trujillo. We were pretty pleased we were safe because buses travelling
north-south have a bad reputation of drunk bus drivers and horrific
crashes.

We got the scariest taxi soo far from the bus station to Huanchaco
where we were staying. Every hostel since the craphole at Cuenca I
have been apprehensive as what to expect but Hostel Coco beach. The
hostel wasn't bad, a really nice owner (very friendly), hot showers,
cable tv and a sea view (althouh the sea looked like Redcar, very
choppy).
We were knackered from the nightbus so slept till afternoon then
headed out for breakfast, we walked along the front of Huanchaco which
you could tell would be very nice to visit in season, but we were out
of season and it was abit of a ghost town. We grabbed a burger and
headed into Trujillo, but got off the bus when we saw signs for a mall
as I was still struggling to find a charger for my useless phone. We
found a McDonalds at the mall so decided to stop off there on the way
back from Trujillo for tea. After looking around the random mall (sold
cars, books, clothes, had an industrial style B&Q and a huge food
court) for about an hour then we got the bus to Trujillo.

Trujillo we had read was a fishing city with loads of opportunity to
get fresh seafood, I can't remember where I had read this but it was
wrong! There wasn't much at Trujillo a nice Plaza de armas (which is a
park at the centre of a city, nearly every city in Peru has one) and
some streets with nice restaurants on. We had a mooch round all that
then got the bus to Mccys. Ahh a plain double cheeseburger meal gone
large, it's nice to be reunited with an old friend after soo long!
After Mccys we headed back to Huanchaco, bedtime.

The next day we got up and headed into Trujillo to book our bus to
Lima, got it through Linea only cost us 60 soles was another
overnighter. Spent the day wondering about just having a lazy day,
picked up half a chicken at the end of the night for sandwiches for
the coach but ended up eating them before we got on.

Hopefully this coach trip won't be as bad as the last, but at least
this time I'm not hungover!

Muchos love

Brown
