A great day of food and entertainment. Firstly, lunch was a STEAL at 88p for 2 fish courses and a drink! Cheaper than Bolivia, probably because Trujillo is lacking tourists. We met up with Erin and Heather again to take snaps of the plaza. Another cloudy day, we mused over our options with a coffee. Not interested in the Temples of the Sun and Moon, of the Moche culture, due to the cost of reaching them and fearing they would look very similar to the pyramid in Lima, and the weather not good enough for sunset in Huanchaco... we chose the cinema! And what a great choice - haven't laughed so much at a film in god knows how long. I would thoroughly recommend Date Night (although, us being so out of touch with cinema, music and news at the moment, that film has probably been and gone in the UK). Best of all, the film and a large popcorn cost Chris and I a fiver total - couldn't even get one cinema ticket in the UK for that!

After bidding the girls farewell (they return to Canada tomorrow) and hoping to see them soon, we returned to the hostel to wait around for 3 hours before our bus to Ecuador at midnight! The hostel owner, also a lawyer, kept us company, feeding us chirimoya (a very sweet fruit, similar to a pear, but translated to "custard apple" for some reason) and offering Pisco Sour! Bless. She got an earful from her daughter when the daughter discovered her fruit had been given away. The daughter must have been in her late teens but she burst into tears!

The bus at midnight left us waiting until 1am, and with me falling asleep in the bus station and a 16 hour journey ahead, this was not the best start!
