Lake Titicaca and Cusco blog

Copacabana, Isle del sol,
Copacabana is a small (and very touristy) town on the Bolivian side of Lake Titicaca. We found a nice hostel and stayed for 3 nights. The main reason for going there is to take a day trip to the Isla del Sol, which is alledgeally where the Inca sun god came from. We visited a tiny museum, and then the sacred Puma rock, with a sacricial altar next to it. We decided to do the 3 hour walk from the north to the south of the island. Unfortunatley the whole thing was tainted by lots of the locals charging us a ‘tax’ to walk past. We had paid to get onto the island, and it was a
