Day 2

After a lovely pancake breakfast we left our family, having given them the presents we had brought for them. Although it was very much aimed at tourism, it had been a wonderful experience to be part of how these local people live. We then left Amantani and moved on to Tequile island. Here, we walked around pretty much the whole place and had some lunch in the Plaza de Armas. The island didn’t really have much about it, not as much character as Amantani, but the views were again stunning!

We then took the three hour ride home in the brilliant sunshine, back to Puno, where we were to prepare for our journey to La Paz the following day.
