For those not aware of Puno, it´s a small town sitting at 3827m above sea level on the North shores of the world famous Lake Titicaca. The main reason people go there is to visit the floating and natural islands found in and around the enormous lake. Back in 2008 we took 21 months off work, rented out the house, found a foster home for Stuart (cat!) and ventured out to the big wide world. We saw as many places as we could fit in in the time we were on the road and returned home in February 2010 after a truly life changing and eye opening journey. Our adventure lasted... 615 days! After our return we fell into the routine of life back in the UK but have always planned to get back out there as soon as we could. Hi guys. Great blog. I'd never even heard of the floating reed islands or anything, amazing. That cavy dinner has to be the most unattractive plate of food I've ever seen. How do they kill them, by flattening them with a rolling pin?? Well done for eating that, I couldn't have! Take care. Love Hollyxxxxxx
