Lima is covered by a white sky, it looks like a fog would hang over the city...

I have been here for about 6 days, but as I got a bit sickish I didn't do as much as I had hoped. Overall the city is like any other capital throughout central and south America. It has some cool areas, some well conserved buildings, a china-town, and some dodgy corners.

We went one day with all "newbies" from our hostel on a tour through the historical centre, led by Billy, the legend. We visited the catacombs of San Francisco, the first time ever that I was around 250000 skeletons and skulls. Weird.

The city is packed and crowded but at times it is easy to forget which country that is, especially being around so many other tourists.... It seems that every country further south becomes more "European".

Tomorrow I will head another 15 hours on a bus to Arequipa, which lies in the very south of Peru.
