Greetings everyone!
We are lovely Peru - we began our travels Monday from Fresno spending the morning getting some last minute items for the trip then heading to grandma and dad's home for breakfast before my Tia Paz along with my Grandmama took us to the train station as we needed to get to Los Angeles.
We said goodbye for now to all the family which was really difficult for me - realizing that I need to go home more often than every 18 months! Anyhow, once at Union Station we caught the three dollar shuttle to LAX from there we caught a cab over to Brian Ball's place. Have you ever got a taxi and the first thing the guy says to you is TAKE A BUS basically he didn't want our fare because we weren't going very far. Sean told him where to take us firmly and a bit loudly....he,he

Thankfully, when we booked our room in Lima I had the thought to have a driver pick us up and get us to our hotel - you know door to door service is always best. Especially, at 1 am, the city wasn't looking so pretty at this hour

Plaza Mayor - getting to know the area we decide to begin at one of the main attractions.
of the morning. Amazing how bright sun lighten ups a place during the day.

We visited several of the main attractions mostly churches, catacombs, the postal museum and the GOLD museum really beautiful. Afterwards, we took a taxi to to see the sun setting over the Pacific Ocean.

Beard
Has Brian Ball lost weight? He looks tiny! Keep up the good work - I'm expecting a detailed account of Macchu Piccu at some point. That looks like the beginnings of an impressive beard, Sean - is this something you plan to continue? If you need inspiration, pictures of my ex-beard are available here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/filmfan/tags/beard/ (understanding tags and how they work was a real internet breakthrough for me). There's a couple of pictures of you guys on there too somewhere, although if you sign up to flickr (easy, free, quick) I can add you as friends and then you can see the family / friends designated pictures too. Speak soon! Matthew *Waves to Julie and Mark*

How is Paddington?
Hi Chaps, What is it with you two and bones! Everywhere you go you end up looking at some poor souls bones. What's that about a beard Sean. I do remember you making fun about Dad trying to grow a beard on one of his (many) trips during his time in the Royal Navy. Have a marmalade sandwich Esther with Paddington when you catch up with him in "deepest, darkest Peru". Love M.
