Flight (after a mammoth struggle with KLM at Schipol) and arrival were fine and we expected to be confined to our hotel because of the national census. We didn't, however, do our research sufficiently well, because evidently alcohol cannot be sold or served on 20th or 21st October! Not to worry, we've got the Saturday crosswords and plenty of research reading to do
