Today, it is my turn (Nitzan) to write.
It all started on September 7th, 2009: At 4:30 p.m we showerd, dressed up, got in the car, drove to the airport and got on the plane.
The flight was 14 hours. In the flight there were good movies one of them was "night in the Museum 2" each seat had its own TV and own remote (that was also a phone and a PSP). I read a book. I didn't realy sleep a lot. When we landed I felt in my belly butterflies. we flew from Tel-Aviv to Sao Paulo, and from Sao Paulo to Lima, Peru. Before we flew to Lima we had a 2 hours connection. The second flight was 5 hours. In the flight there was a movie of Hanna Montana, it was a great movie!
When we arrived in Lima, a taxi waited for us and took us to the hostel. In the hostel there are tons of Israeli people, actually everybody (except the cleaner and the receptionist). In the hostel there is a pool table, playstation, hammocks and movies. Its a lot of fun to be in a place where everybody knows your language.
I am still not used to have to share with other people bathroom and shower. The room is pretty small, but it is fun having 3 bunk beds. My brothers and I are sleeping in the three top beds and our parents in the lower beds.
At the evening, a friend from my mom's work picked us up, and arrangted for us a night tour in Lima and afterwards took us to a restaurant. The restaurant was very good, had great food. I ordered pasta with cream sauce and it was delicious. There was a funny drink: it was purple and made out of corn, but it was very tasty (I am NOT joking). The name of the restaurant is 'Panchita'.
The next day (today) after having a small breakfast we went on a taxi to 'plaza del armas' and there is the president's house and we saw a ceremony when they change guards with music. The guards walked funny, because they walked like robots raising their legs high in the air. After we walked to a street that was full of beeds shops. We went in one of the shops and it was huge and full of beads - I loved how it looks and realy wanted to buy some, but there is no space in our bags so I did not buy anything. Next we ate lunch. Then we saw a big market with lots of shops and we walked in a very very busy street.
In general there are many people that sell on the street candies and toys. And the funny thing is that they have here people that shine your shoes. vehicles
The buses are like school buses in the US, but painted in red and full of people so there is no space.
The cars are very old and there are a few very old beatles on the streets (cars).
we also saw a funny vehicle that was a motorcycle with a big wagon in its front, full of fruits or vegetables.
That's for now, will update you soon...
