Huaca Pucclana or Pucclana Pyramid lies right in the heart of central Lima, in the Miraflores District. It is a magnificent archeological piece that was made of clay on seven staged platforms. To that end, it is not exactly a typical pyramid that we usually visualize. It was built in 4thcentury A.D. and was considered a ‘sacred village’ by the Incas. The structure is surrounded by a wall to define the outer limit whereas the central part is divided in segments and a large segment of the pyramid was used as the administrative section by the Incas. Here we are, I'm flying on my own to the North, with a first stop of 48 hours in Lima. Let's put it simply, since my first visit back in 2002, I must have come between 15 and 20 times in Lima. I'm not a local, but it's not that far. My friend has been living there for something looking like forever. He went from single, to married, and today they have two children. None of us are getting any younger! Most tourists will stay 24 hours or even less in Lima while visiting Peru. The city is indeed not the best looking and can be also dangerous if you have no idea where you are heading. But Lima has something special, it is for me one of the world capital for food. Lima (3/6/2018 - 5/6/2018) From beautiful snow-capped mountains to the busy city *sniff*. Not really a city girl myself, my time here was short and sweet. Lima is the capital and the largest city of Peru; and lies on the country's arid Pacific coast. My favourite activity here was a visit to MATE (pronounced mAH-teh): the Mario Testino photography museum. It was also free because it was a Sunday, jackpot! Peruvian born but living in the England for many years, Mario Testino has been a fashion photographer for the past 20 years. MATE was founded in 2012 and is located in the hipster area of Lima, Barranco. As well as celebrity photography, Mario seeks to portray his Peruvian culture through his gorgeous, bright and glossy photography. Today began with an excellent buffet breakfast. There was french toast, actually a toasted it tasted and looked like a peanut butter sandwich cut into 4 pieces.There were eggs and cheese scrambled, various fruits, cold cuts and cheeses. There was even sausages and other fine delicacies. Coffee was interesting. When I poured it out of the pot it looked very black and very thick. I assumed it would be bitter so I pulled our 5 sugar packets. I added a little hot milk to the coffee and it lightened up immediately. I added one sugar and tasted, hummmm, pretty good. GÜN 13 14 ŞUBAT ÇARŞAMBA: Sabah uyanır uyanmaz, Ayşemi aradım. Sevgilililer gününü kutladım. İkimiz de biraz burukuz ,ama olsun telafi ederiz.. Kahvaltıda eline çabuk! bir kızcağız kanımı kuruttu. “Yumurtanız nasıl olsun? “diye sordu. Söyledim O da sonunda, ağzından hem baklayı hem de faturayı çıkarttı . Meğerse, yumurta kahvaltı dışında paralı imiş .. Otel ,kahvaltıdan sınıfta kaldı.. Çıkıp yürüme mesafesinde ,ana meydana gittim.. Para bozma işlemi dahil, bütün tantana burada oluyor. Kısa sürede anlıyorum ki, Peru’lular aç gözlü ve oldukça haris … Tüm müzeleri paralı yapmışlar.. Yüzlerce turist müze kapılarından dönüyor.. Değeni var, değmeyeni var artık bir ayar bulacağız..
