English After being left one stop further than expected because I fell asleep in the night bus I decide to change my plan and visit the Ballesta Islands and the Paracas Natural Park. We see a huge variety of animals like dolphins, sea lions and many diferent birds. Great view from the "La Catedral" view point.... read more

Ok, everyone, So, I'm going to work backwords, I guess. Here are some pictures from the Ballestas Islands, right off the central coast of Peru, near a town that we stayed in, Paracas. We took a walk the day before out to the Paracas National Reserve, on a small peninsula off the coast (very hot). We saw, in the distance, pink flamingoes on the beach. Then we walked back. It was really hot. Paracas was very loud, our hostal's neighborhood over-run with roosters, wild dogs, and rambuncious Peruvian political activists. We drove through Ica and the streets where full of school kids. I arrived in Pisco fairly late in the evening. At the bus stop I was approached by a friendly lady who offered to arrange the hotel for me, since the bus stop was ten blocks from the town centre I felt lazy and accepted the offer plus I was warned that Pisco was a dodgy place (I didn’t find it that way btw). We got a taxi to the hotel and soon afterwards she also arranged the tour of the national park for me. Afterwards I visited an internet café, and upon paying the lady running the café ... read more
