Textures & colours
Another pot-pourri of amazing textures and colours Tara. Wonderful collection of the skill of the Inca in adjusting their natural world into symmetrical and ecclectic swirls, arcs, blocks & terraces. Then there are the vivid colours of the Chinchero.

Colours of Peru...
Tara it's the end of a long wet grey day in Tasmania, and the colours in this blog were a welcome sight. Another lovely blog :)

Glad to bring a bit of sun!
Yes, the colors and sun of Peru are the best. I'm in Arequipa where it's so sunny and beautiful, I can't seem to leave. How great that you live in wild Tasmania! Stay dry!

Beautiful fabrics
It's really amazing how similar the traditional woven textiles are to those worn by many of the ethnic minorities in the mountains of South East Asia. I love all the brilliant colors in your photos and the scenery is stunning as well.

Shared patterns
Glad you liked the colors and scenery, Dan. While I've not been to Asia yet, I know that these South American colors and patterns are also similar to ones in Guatemala and in Eastern Europe. Perhaps the collective consciousness likes bright colors and certain basic patterns. Interesting observation--thanks!
