Machu Picchu & Aguas Calientes - being overwhelmed and pigging out - sentirse abrumado

Machu Picchu is set in absolutely spectacular mountain scenery (see photo 1). When you go to Machu Picchu you can either have rainy weather or mosquitos. Unfortunately our group chose rainy and cloudy so the pictures were not the clear photos beloved of holiday brochures (see photo 2), but at least I didn't get malaria! The photo I have chosen was one of the rarer ones not partly obscured by cloud. The area gets severe earthquakes about every three hundred years - I had the foresight to stay in Britain until I was five years old to avoid the last one. Inca constructions are moderately resistant to earthquakes but damage to one wall from the 1950 one is still visible (see photo 3). In nearby Aguas Calientes, having run out of excuses I finally succumbed to Peru's national dish of baked guinea pig (see photo 4). Expensive, and not very nice. Not something I would crawl across broken glass for, just to be able to try it again.

[Machu Picchu está ubicado en un paisaje de montaña absolutamente espectacular (ver foto 1). Cuando usted va a Machu Picchu usted puede tener tiempo de lluvia o mosquitos. Lamentablemente, nuestro grupo eligió lluvioso y nublado por lo que las imágenes no eran claras las fotos de las vacaciones queridas folletos (ver foto 2), pero por lo menos no he tenido malaria! La foto que he elegido fue una de las más raras no parcialmente ocultas por las nubes. La zona recibe fuertes terremotos más o menos cada 300 años - que tenía la previsión de quedarse en Gran Bretaña hasta que tenía cinco años de edad para evitar el último. Construcciones incas son moderadamente resistente a los terremotos, pero el daño a una de las paredes de la década de 1950 uno sigue siendo visible (ver foto 3). En Aguas Calientes, cerca, después de haber acabado las excusas que finalmente sucumbieron al plato nacional del Perú de cuy al horno (ver foto 4). Caro y no muy agradable. No es algo que se arrastran a través de vidrios rotos para, sólo para poder volver a intentarlo.]
