Cuzco y Machu Picchu

Between the jungle and Machu Picchu, we called Hostal Resbalosa home for about a week. For some of you (Pops!) this is probably the most anticipated entry and we snapped some good shots, though far from unique. Here's the M.P. story:
We decided after the pricey train ride that we would try and sneak into South America's largest tourist attraction. Up at 3am in Aguas Calientes, downing a couple slices of bread each and donning garbage bags to shield the rain, we set out with only the moonlight to guide us to our destination. We made it past the first few guarded posts undetected, but got busted at the only bridge crossing over the wild white (actually brown) water separating us from Machu Picchu. We set back to town, defeated and, now locked out of our hostel, waited in the rain until the ticket office opened at 5am. For any of you out there that feel up to it, if you could hand-over-hand under the bridge, hike around the main gates and enter the site from somewhere below, you'll likely never be asked for your ticket. Entrance is s/. 120 (approx. $45 CND), so you make the call. We'd do it if we had a second chance. Damn the man! At least the day was beautiful.
