Hola lovely people...

Hope all is well and life is grand?

So what have we been up to...a little excursion into Bolivia and now we are in Cuzco, Peru.

We had a wildlife fest on the river Beni, in Bolivian Amazon Basin. A brillant few days of sunshine, sailing up the river and spotting seeing one of the cuddley and peaceful animals on earth, the humble Capabara. Awwwwwwwwww how cute and even cuter, Andy getting all excited. Story is that he saw some in Cricket St Thomas about 15 years ago and has loved them ever since. So seeing 100's in the wild was a bit of a rush. It must have been breeding season, cause there were lots of cute little babers.

People were nice on the tour, apart from wanting to kill Miss Pony Club from London. Her comment about Bolivians being "thick" kinda got us a bit heated. It was wet wipes for everything and a I don't know where those dirty people have been view. Sometime you wonder why people think a "developing" country is going to be thrills around the edges or are not aware of the reasons of peoples situations. Anyway, enough of me ranting...

We liked Bolivia and wish we could have spend more time there. People are freindly, we had the most amazing expereince on Amazonas Airlines. We could not get any money from the banks and had 20 minute before our flight (back to La Paz). The very nice lady in the office phoned up the airport and the captain said he would pay for us to get to the airport and taxes and we could give him the money when we got to La Paz. So we hopped on some motorbikes and flew back to La Paz, it's nice when people are nice!

The polictic problems did not effect travels. We spent our time in west Bolviva, which is very safe. The only problem is lack of gasoline but not enough to grind things to a halt. The boarder crossing was the easisest we have ever experinced. After hearing lots of horror stories from various people and guide books we though we would be in for a long hule. But no, a stamp out of Peru, walk up to Bolvivia and then a stamp, a cheery welcome to Bolivia and off we went. Not even a computer to see how criminal we might be.

We are in sunny Cusco. Peru's (and one of South Ameircas) draw card for people who like to see other places. On the coach my heart sunk, oh the outskirts how shite and I thought it was a old cobbled stoned pretty city. Not from the look of the outskirts but thankfully the centre very much made up for first impressions.

A day trip in the Scared Valley followed taking in Stunning mountain vistas, rivers and cute villages. Oh and as many Inca ruins you could shake a stick at.

A most amazing day was spent in Machu Picchu. We thought it would be tourist city, which it was but it was very stunning you didn't notice. It was also easy to escape from the crowds and find a little bit of peace. At first your like, why did the Incas build a city so high up in the mountains. Some known reaons could be being closer to "the god's" and it is pretty amazing how buildings are built into the mountains. Oh and a stunning view makes for a nice day trip out!

We enjoyed

Little Brown Ones!
Don't you guys look gorgeous in your mountain retreat? The little brown guys are pretty damn cool as well of course, but my fave pic is the Aligator. I prefer Crocs, but anything along those lines and I'm in awe! So, thanks loads for your messages on my blog. Always good to hear from you and to get your encouraging messages. I am emotionally really tired and nearly ready to go home, but you're right, I am having fun and really I need to be managing enough umph for the next 2 months. All good. I just hope my teeth hold out, Indian dentistry is not on my wish list! Anyway, your adventures are making me well jealous and rightly so, its great that you guys are having a ball. Is the Jungle full of grim insects? Hope its amazing. Hugs. xxx
