early morning ablutions
Plaza de Armas in Arequipa, Peru Hola! Just a quick one this time. I´m flying through southern Peru at the moment, so that I can get to Lima in time for my flight to Santiago - yeah, yeah, yeah, I´m backtracking again. I thought I´d finally left Chile and Argentina for good, but apparently there´s a new law of physics that keeps dragging you back...
Yesterday was Cuzco, today is Arequipa, tomorrow is Nazca, then I get to sleep in a real bed after spending two nights trying to fall asleep on a bus seat that doesn´t recline to horizontal.
As you can see by the photos, I counteracted my ruin-fatigue with spanish architecture. The town is full of buildings with fantastic details carved into every nook and cranny. There´s nothing in Australia quite like it.

offended
Your photo captions may be witty, but I am deeply offended. Our children will NOT infect the pigeons with germs "nice and early". The pigeons in Arequipa are regularly vaccinated against children-transmitted viruses.
