Condor2 Arequipa is Peru's 2nd biggest city and has a beautiful city centre with lots of restored colonial buildings and churches.
The surrounding mountains are high but not technically difficult, so naturally we thought we couldn't pass through without climbing one! We climbed Chachani, an inactive volcano of 6100m. We did the trip in 2 days because we were already acclimatized from travelling through Bolivia and Lake Titicaca and we drove to an initial height of 5100m , so we only had one exhausting day climbing to the summit with a 2am start.
The other excursion from Arequipa was to Colca Canyon which is one of the deepest canyons in the world. It is also a popular area for spotting Andean condors.

nice work
Hey guys, nice work, it looks amazing what you're doing. Beautiful pictures too. You missed a spectacular crash by me at Gap Creek yesterday, so I hope Macchu Picchu was worth it! :-)
