After the efforts of the Inca Trail, time to relax and do a bit of city seeing in Arequipa. very pretty city, Arequipa´s name supposingly comes from one of the Incas who decided to saty to camp in the place for the night and told his troops "Ari, quipa" - "here we stay".
We visited the museum that has got the body of a teenage girl who was offered to the Inca gods some 600 years ago - no photo though (forbidden!) and we visited a 16th century convent.
We also went to see the famous condors in the Colca Canyon.
