Join Galapagos Islands tour
We had bfast and then got a taxi to the hotel Rio Amazonas where we joined the Galapagos Islands tour. We got to the hotel at about 10am which was check in time and found out the briefing meeting was not until 5:30 so we settled in to the hotel. We then went to the briefing meeting and got our Gap bags and t-shirts. After that we went for a walk around the streets near our hotel. It is so lively around this part of town with lots of bars and night clubs and there was a market and street performers do fire jiggering and unicycles. Also there were artists painting in the streets. We found a fantastic restaurant called Mama Cloindra that served Ecuadorian food. We got heaps of local food and had local cocktails and there was a man in the corner playing latten Harp music. After diner we had a bit more of a look around town and then packed our bags for the trip.
