Isla Santa Cruz - Sunday 10th June Well, after a very early morning bus ride to Guayaquil and a very short flight we arrived at Baltra airport. Basically this involved a tarmac runway and ´baggage claim´which was literally a pile of bags on the ground yet amazingly enough all our bags came through unscathed (Iberia could learn from this - it is not necessary to leave my bag behind then, ... Oh.... just plain WOW!!!
Hi Katherine!!! Hey look, I get to be the first comment on the Galapgos page! Absolutely amazing - been waiting to hear all about this for ages. Wonderful blog and the photos are so amazing. Love the blue-footed boobies. Out of curiosity did you ever find out why they have blue feet? Great picture of you with the sealions, and a very glamourous shot of you ont he beach. Am now completely green with envy. ;) Glad you had a wonderful time. Enjoy your last few days in Cuenca and keep us updated on your adventures around Peru. Have fun and take care. See you again in August!!! Love Anna

Various
Hello! Love the pictures - look forward to seeing the rest when you're back. Glad you named the turtle one, though, as I originally interpreted it as 'fat mermaid shadow' - which made Anna laugh at any rate! Love the natural history lesson to do with the booby nests - planning on a career change to being David Attenborough's apprentice ..? V nifty dolphin shot also. Please try not to get eaten by a shark - I don't think they'd reduce your air fare even if you did come back with two fewer limbs than you went! ;-) E x
