Sorry for the quietness but it has been a busy week so far.
I first spent just a day in Banos which is a very touristic town full of tour agencies for extreme sports such as bungee jumping, rafting, canyoning etc. I just did the swing at the end of the world which is a long swing at the edge of the top of a mountain so it gives a beautiful view!
Then I went to hike the Quilotoa loop, was the best part of the trip so far. Left my bag in Latacunga and took the bus to Isin Livi, a tiny village with the best hostal ever! Met so many nice people there and there was no internet so all we could do is chat and plan the hike. On Tuesday, I hiked with two Brits I met in the hostal from Isin Livi to Chugchilan, was gorgeous!
In Chugchilan, found some more people doing the hike the other way round that I had met in Latacunga, basically everyone kept bumping into each other again and again ! Wednesday I hiked with two Americans from Chugchilan to the Quilotoa crater, it was basically 5h of uphill climb! Was hard
Tree house in Banos
but once you get to the top you forget the pain !! ( I sort of understand why people like to do the hike the other way as it goes down BUT ending with the crater was awesome!!)
I then went back to Latacunga to get my bag and today I have took the bus for the coast!!
Hope you are all well!! Xxx
