We travelled through the beautiful Sierra Nevada towards the small village of Minca, in a tiny Hyundai Atos Prime with a Dutch couple in their 50s. Made it just before the engine overheated completely. A very practical choice of transport.

Quick tour of another coffee farm, a much bigger set up than that in Medellin.

We then trekked to the Pozo Azul waterfalls and swam in the fresh cold water. More beach whale than Herbal Essence.

Finished the day in the main village of Minca. Tiny and rustic, we had a couple of wines before our luxury drive back.

Back in the Love Island Villa, we had a power cut just as applying mascara. Despite our drag look, our Australian friends invited us our for dinner. We enjoyed some beers and bum watching (the female bums here are unreal) and then found a roof top bar. Made it back without being held at gun point this evening.

One last chilled day in Santa Marta before moving onto Palomino our final stop. Allez les bleus!

Facts:

- Sierra Nevada is the highest mountain range in the world next to the sea.

- Hyundais have excellent suspension
