Für eine letzte Nacht ging es also von Bogotá zurück nach Cartagena, eine Rückkehr die sich anfühlt wie Nachhausekommen. Am Eingang der Gated Community wurde ich vom vigilante (Security) mit einem großen Grinsen begrüßt: „¡Bienvenida! ¿Se queda con Jesus, casa 20, sí?“ Er wusste sofort, wer ich war und hat mir die Schlüssel zum Apartment gegeben. Noch überraschender die Frage: „¿Cómo se ha ido por Bogotá?“ - offenbar wusste der Herr auch über meinen Kurzausflug Bescheid... Was er nicht wusste: Die bevorstehende Nacht war meine letzte Nacht in Cartagena, der nächste Abschied stand bevor. Und ich muss gestehen: Schweren Herzens. Hier hatte ich wirklich eine gute Zeit... Today is February 20th on our cruise. Early morning finds us at our first real port stop at Cartagena, Columbia. We anchor out in its harbor. Those of us taking a tour excursion are being transported ashore by tender boats. Cory, Sandy and myself and Lulu signed up for an interesting, comfortable bus tour of the old, walled city, their Naval museum, Cartagena’s Cathedral and a Folkloric Show. We saw and experienced a lot. Our first encounter was with free roaming peacocks. They strutted themselves around the neighborhood. Different from seeing our usual robins hopping around the side yard. My many, many photos (59) will do my talking again. Get some reading glasses if you need them. GÜN 07 08 ŞUBAT PERŞEMBE Nasılsa sabah 07:00 ye doğru uyandım. Kahvaltıdan sonra, odadan çıkış hazırlıklarımı tamamladım. Turhan biraderim, hafif bir şey olsun diye kendi tabletini verdiydi. Ona bir kap almak gerek. Ne alırsan Birlik, Beşlik, Onluk çarşılar var …Gittim aldım.. Daha sonra otobüsle ,Barajas kalesine gitmeye karar verdim. Başardım da… Allahın kalesini ziyaret için, 20.000 COP istiyorlar.. Yani ,"Türk erkeği yerden 40 metre yüksekliğinde bir kale ziyaretine, bu parayı vermez" diyerek geri döndüm. Bulunduğumuz kesim, “eski şehir” ama uzaklarda yeni bir şehir yükseliyor. Bu yükselen şehire “Boca Grande” diyorlar. GÜN 05 06 ŞUBAT SALI CARTAGENA-COLOMBIA: Çantamı geceden ayarladım. Sabah, giderek azalan tayına rağmen kahvaltımı yaptım. Az daha toparlanıp, ayarladığım taksiye bindim. Bu kez 25000'e anlaştık. Gelirken yediğimiz kazık bu şekilde biraz olsun dengelendi..ya da bu bir züğürt tesellisidir.. “El Dorado” havaalanına vaktinde vardım. Gerekli aşamaları sıkıntısız aştım. Malüm bu biletler alınanı neredeyse 4 ay oluyor …acaba bir sorun çıkar mı? endişeleri hep var .. Allah razı olsun,Türk Telekom mesaj olarak ,250 TL lik bir kazık attığının haberini yolladı.. Took the night bus to Cartagena from Medellin the day after the New Year. It was a beautiful scenic ride. I spend a good amount of time looking for my hostel. Enduring the sweltering Caribbean heat. I eventually found the hostel and checked in in my sweat soaked shirt. The place was nothing like I'd expected. It look more like a family home than a hostel. It was dark. The entry merged into the living room/kitchen, where fish was being fried. The dorm room was stuffy. There were 4-5 bunk beds. My roommates appeared to be Argentinian travelers. They were reserved. I felt like they were put off by my presence. I definitely did not felt welcome there. They weren't very friendly like typical backpackers. I mind my business.
