Here are some pictures taken from within the Old City wall, which was built to protect the City of Cartagena de Indies from the priates.

A couple things to note:

1) All Asains are Chinese

2) Columbians don't have much for etiquette but are very friendly and kind people...

3) Understand how far you need to go in a taxi and have the exact amount you want to pay at hand, most taxi driviers will not have change

4) Money is Columbian Pesos (COP)

5) Columbia is safe!

Vendors

Vendors all day untill around 8 pm at night on the streets. They have a lot of cool things, just need to bargain with them most of the time. In Cartagena it is super expensive because it's so touristy, but in other places things are cheaper... waiting to buy souvenirs!!

Right by the entrance of the old city wall, where the clock tower is, they have dances and music and such going on. Here are some clips of a traditional dance. Oh and they like to wear white here :]
Casa de ChicheriaCasa de Chicheria
Casa de Chicheria

I stayed here for the first three nights in Cartagena. It's a bit more expensive than some, about 37,000 (37 MIL) Pesos, but worth it. The staff here are so friendly! And one speaks English. They help you with any thing they can, which is a lot because they are all Columbian!
