Many of the "miradors" - viewpoints at the top of popular "ascentores" have fabulous murals. Not quite sure what this depicts- some deep, social or political message that escaped me!

Unfortunately closed for renovation, so it was on up by the road. The ascensores vary in length from about 60-100m in height and 30-50 degrees inclination!

This hostel is part of the HOLA network of hostels (Hostelling Latin America) which indicates that the hostel has made some "sustainable" changes. A "green" hostel, so to speak. I didn't go in, but loved the artistic touches outside!

I couldn't resist this picture. The famous snack food that everyone supposedly loves!! I find them a bit stodgy- too much pastry for me. However, look more closely at the different "flavours". Now, maybe I should have tried the "Bob Marley".....
