Este pred tym nez sme sa vybrali na vylet po ostrove Chiloe nam nas domaci Charlie tvrdil ze sa k nam blizi burka a pride maximalne do dvoch dni. Toto bol treti den krasneho pocasia, tak sme sa ho rozhodli poriadne vyuzit. Autobus naspat do Conchi isiel o 2 hodiny neskor ako mal, ale s tym sa nic robit nedalo. V hosteli sme si len zhodili ruksaky a vybrali sa na blizky ostrov Lemuy. O Lemuyi sme toho poculi vela, o tom aky je krasny, ako tam urcite treba ist. Niezeby sa nam nepacil, ale vyzeralo to tam presne ako u nas /teda az na ocean/, tak sme sa po chvili otocili a isli naspat. Dneskajsie rano vyzeralo ovela lepsie ako vcerajsie a tak sme sa vybrali do narodneho parku, teda chceli sme. Majitel nasho hostela nam poradil aby sme vynechali narodny park a radsej isli juzne od neho, kde je to ovela krajsie. Rozhodli sme sa posluchnut jeho radu, odviezli sa do este mensej dedinky Cucao a zamierili na juh. Cucao lezi na zapadnej strane ostrova a tato cast je vystavena vsetkym vetrom a burkam, ktore sa sem zenu cez Pacifik. Cele pobrezie bolo lemovane malymi pokrivenymi stromami, asi maju tazky zivot, ale vyzeralo to nadherne. Cely ostrov bol krasne zeleny, plny pasucich sa koni, krav a oviec. Rano sme sa vidali na autobusovu stanicu kupit listky do Chonchi. Chonchi je male rybarska dedinka na ostrove Chiloe. Po case sa nas autobus nalodil na trajekt, videli sme tucniaky a labute s ciernymi hlavami. Ostrov nas neprivital najlepsie, bolo sychravo a zamracene, ale Chiloe je tym znamy. Ubytovali sme sa v hosteli priamo na plazi a z izby vidime na Pacificky ocean. Chonchi sa nam paci, vyzera presne ako by mala rybarska dedinka podla nasich predstav malo vyzerat. Vsade su male drevene domceky natrete roznymi farbami a moc sa tu toho asi nedeje. Vecer sme sa boli prejst do pristavu, bolo uz tma a sychravo, nikde nikto len my a par rybarov. Hello again... a pre-warning, i cannot find how to do an exlamation point on this keyboard... so just imagine my usual excitment and add them as you find they are needed....everywhere.... so aly and i are in the town of Castro, Chiloe Island, Chile. It is quite a cute little place. a couple of days ago we took a bus from puerto varas to Ancud, Chiloe. Ancud was a nice little town but the day we got there it was POURING rain and SO windy. we actually just hunkered down in our room because the thought of going outside was frightening. the next day we booked ourselves a little tour to go see the pinguinos...many exlamation points. so after a bus ride we arrived at the ocean where the penguins live. it is the only place ... read more

Chiloe is a huge island right off of Chile. We had to take a ferry to get there. Our first stop in Chiloe was the national park. We camped at the front of the park because we arrived to lake to do any real hiking the first day. We slept well then were off on a long, grueling 35 mile hike. Before we left we got directions from two different people and if anyone knows anything about Chile you could probably guess the directions where not the best. The rangers told us to go along the road for 4 km then the beach for 11km then up a hill and you will find the refugio. You cant miss it they both said.
