Despite Chiloes reputation as a rainy island we woke up into another beautiful sunny day. It was already very hot right from the morning, so we got tempted to swim in the ocean. Stan already swam in every laguna possible, but said that this was the coldiest water he had ever experienced. We managed to get there up to our knees, but that was it, our feet immediately hurt from cold. Later we headed back to Cucao and were again lucky with hitchhiking. In Cucao we went to its local beach, and although we have seen many beaches in last few days this was again special - all along its shore there was a few metres wide strip of white shells. Later we found out the biggest dead fish we ever seen, we dont know what it was but it was a sad sight. Evening was coming and we started to look for a place to pitch our tent. We had a place in mind and Stan decided for a shortcut. We planned to cross a river emptying into a sea, but in the end it was too deep, so we went through a field covered in huge spiky plants. Later in sand dunes we found a right place for us, shielded from wind, but with a view over the ocean. We were again alone, made a fire and watched another great sunset.
