Après un petit déjeuner délicieux avec salade de fruits frais et jus de framboise frais (et tarte, et toasts fromage & jambon !), direction les thermes « Géometricas » à 1h30 de Pucon, avec des pauses au bord de lacs à l’aller. Il y a plein de termes dans la région, le nombre de bassins et le style diffèrent, mais celles-ci ont la réputation d’être les plus belles. Il y a 17 bassins, avec des températures allant aujourd’hui entre 36 et 42 degrés, idéal pour une fan des douches brulantes ! il y a même deux bassins à 5 degrés pour se rafraichir. Le lieu est vraiment merveilleux, à l’intérieur d’un canyon, au milieu de la verdure, avec un système de passerelles/couloirs au beau design rouge en bois très bien intégré. Même les toilettes sont zen ! Pour ceux qui sont déjà allés au Japon, apparemment c’est assez similaire (oui ? non ?) Des fumées signifient l’écart de température avec l’extérieur et même s’il ne fait pas froid, on est mieux dans l’eau, surtout que le soleil ne reste pas très longtemps dans le canyon. Seul petit bémol s’il en faut un : il y a des relents d’œuf pourri –
ou, pardon, de manière plus technique, de soufre.
La journée se termine encore au resto de l’auberge, avec toujours un repas végétarien très bien, je me rattrape des carences de l’Argentine côté légumes. Et c’est aussi le retour du quinoa, merci le Chili pour ça.

After a delicious breakfast including fresh fruit salad, fresh rasperry juice (and also a fruit tard, cheese and ham toast!), we’re heading to the “Geometricas” hot springs, located 1h30 away from Pucon. There are quite a few different hot springs in the area, but these ones are supposed to be the most beautiful. There are 17 pools (tanks), with water between 36 and 42 degrees Celsius this day, just perfect for me who like taking hot showers! There are also two other ‘refreshing’ tanks at 5°C. the place in a canyon is really beautiful and peaceful, with green plants everywhere. The way is made of a well-designed and well-integrated red bridge made of wood. Even the toilets are zen! For those who already went to Japan, it’s quite similar (right or not?). Fumes everywhere show the difference in temperature between the water and the air and even if it is not that cold outside, it’s better to go into the pool, especially because the sun is not very present in the narrow canyon. The only downside if I have to find one: the smell of rotten eggs - or should I say in a more technical way – of sulfur.
Dinner at the restaurant’s hotel as the previous evenings, with very good veggie meals, I needed it after my stay in Argentina! And also quinoa is on the menu, which I appreciate, thanks Chile for that! > TOTD: a zen day LIENS VERS VIDEOS / LINKS TO VIDEOS (hot springs)
