Our Brazilian friend, Edi, drove us to the car rental agency in the southern suburbs of Sao Paulo. He also lent us a GPS involuntarily programmed to avoid the major highways!... which made it challenging to get out of the city! Beaches and waterfalls!
That area of southern Brazil is so perfect! I spent a couple of weeks in nearby Paraty, doing exactly what you were doing--what a paradise! Congratulations on the having the beachside "campground" all to yourselves. I bet you could hear the ocean better than those in the fancy hotels. Well-done!
