Kate wins cuteness contest

Our friends will be spending a few days in Rio de Janeiro, Kate and I are checking airline loads in an attempt to get back to Florida. If we decide to spend some time in Rio , we will be touring with them. Met a great Brazilian couple who have offered to help us get setup with transportation. They own a jewellery store/ wholesale gemstone business, in the Copacabana area. 2 days of Religious holidays when we arrive , so have been advised of mucho crowds , enjoying the cities sights and events.

Again many warnings of criminal activity within the city. Sheesh.!



This reminds me of our time in Buenos Aires. 2 of our ships passengers were mugged , in the Boca area. One was struck with a stick then locals came to chase off the aggressor. While pretending to help , they stole his wallet and cellphone. The other was a more mundane cutting of a purses strap. So I guess it does happen.



Up in the Crowsnest with our friends this evening eating crisps that we had snuck from the restaurant. Early night though , as the crew were having their Halloween party at 10:00



Just in the show room waiting for the " Love That". Oprah inspired clothing line show. Kate is modelling a swimsuit with coverup that I think she said was leopard print!

Manju is also on the stage but not sure what she has chosen. Maybe an agent will see Kathy as a potential face for the line of Cruise Babes.



So , Kate won the cuteness contest , well that's what I thought. She said it was good fun and mentioned that it would have been better earlier in the cruise so the 10 women could enjoy each other's company. Packing day today. The cruise ship , as is normal , will charge your account a daily per person charge as a tip. Holland America's amount was 13.50 USD/pp/pd. so $432 USD. You can request a cancellation of this procedure and tip manually , which we chose



Kate , normally astute , finally realized the floor mats in the elevators have the days of the week on them and are changed to match the actual days.

We normally do not buy the ships pictures but this time around picked our disembarkation at Port Stanley to go along with our round the Cape certificates.
