Huge speakers seem to be the popular thing in Brazil. They´re everywhere...on top of cars, vans and even individual street vendors of audio CDs have their own mobile ones which they wheel around advertising their wares!
Mon 1st Oct:
An early morning swim before breakfast; it´s amazing how many there are out surfing at 7:00 am, an ideal spot for surfing as the waves are 2/3metres and roll a long way. However I found them very strong and after 20 mins was exhausted and ready for breakfast.
´Decided to explore Natal today and use the local omnibus to get there. Although only ~15 Km away it took over an hour to get there. No different to any other city ...usual high-rise offices, shopping mall and individual outlets like C&A, Carrefour and of course Macdonalds. Just browsed, bought a few snacks and ´Headed back for Ponte Negro.Tried a minibus this time which only took 20 mins.
´Investigated getting to Forteleza and bought a coach ticket for travelling tomorrow night - leaving just before midnight and should get there soon after 6:00 am. on Wedneday.

An Empty Street!An Empty Street!
An Empty Street!

I took this quick photo of the main street, apparently empty - an unusual sight and only so besause of the traffic light further up. It´s normally a hive of activity everywhere downtown.
