Hola querida familia y amigos!
Hello dear family and friends! Finally we are back!
We left Samaipata (Santa Cruz-Bolivia) a few days ago, we headed to visit the Jesuits Misions wich are incredibly beautiful and surrounded by amazing nature and landscapes. This is the way we took to go
to Brasil, crossing the Pantanal, this part is great for its biodiversity and the forests. The amount of birds you can watch near the border Bolivia-Brasil is amazing. We were really lucky and got the chance to see by the window of the taxi, tucans, owls, parrots, etc.
At the moment we are in Bonito, a small city in Brasil with lovely people and surrounded by rivers with transparent water, caves.....Once more we have been lucky and have seen some macaws, their colors are beautiful, red, blue, yellow, green. It has been a real show when they flew above us.
Brasil is great, its people as well but the prices are been hard for us. The transport is more expensive than in Spain, we didn´t even try to eat in a restaurant cause it is scary and my new hobby is going to the supermarket and watching the prices. I might be exagerating a bit but the big change from Bolivia to here is really shocking because of the way we are travelling. Not much money.
In Samaipata (Bolivia), the small little town i told you in the last blog entry, where we spent nearly three months, we have had
amazing time. We have been really lucky to have the chance to live in a place like that, sourrunded by nature, to be able to meet the locals and people from other nationalities that live there. They have treat us so good, we flet we were at home and it has been very nice to share our dance and music with them.
In those two months in Samaipata we have done few diferents jobs. Juanma started working in a hostel called Andoriña, he got bed and some food for working a few hours and i rented a room in the same place for this month. I was looking for a job and i found it just in the opposite road. It was in a restaurant called La Oveja Negra and the owners were from Holand. I also translated their tours web site from english to spanish and Juanma tought some spanish classes to a girl from New Zeland.
We were so like as well of meeting Sukha, a lady from Austria that owns a center of massage, yoga and other therapies. The place is called Zentro. She offered us teacing african dance and also
salsa and samba. It has been a really funny time and we already miss it. We have to thank a lot to Sukha for giving us the opurtunity of being there and make us feel part of the Zenter in little time.
In this town we have done everything, the last few days we both did work as cleaners in a hotel.
At the moment we are travelling again, we are on the way to Sao Paulo, crossing Paraguay. We will tell some more very soon.
P.S. All the pictures are from Samaipata and the surroundings.
Os mandamos muchos besos.
Lots of kisses.
Desi y Juanma.
