Hi it is Omer
In Uyuni we went to a desert called Salar. Actually it´s not a sesert it´s a desert made out of salt and only now starts the adventure!
Day 1 - We went to visit a cemetery of trains. The trains that are there, are not in use any longer, because they were working on coal, and now the trains in Bolivia use gasoline. Then we went to the Salar. First of all, we went to mountains of salt. Then we went to a factory of salt. They first dry the salt outside in the sun. Then, they do another level of drying in a kind of oven. When the salt is dry enough they grind the salt a special machine then they put it in a big pile of salt that has already been grinded. Then we continued on our way to a hotel made out of salt. We didn´t sleep there because it was not used anymore - and don´t ask me why. Then we went to an island called "island of the fish" or in Spanish "Isla Del Pescado". In this "Island" we saw many cactuses which some of them are high like
half a tree. My dad also saw in this island a kind of a rabbit that is called Viscacha, but its bigger. There are no fish in the island, there is actually no sea or lake next to island. It is called the island of fish because from distance its shape looks like a fish. In the island we ate lunch.
From there we went to do funny pictures.
At the end of the day, we went to a tiny village and there we slept in a hotel of salt. Everything in the hotel was made of salt - the walls, our beds, the tables, the chairs and the floor. The only thing that was not made out of salt was the bathroom and the toilet.
Day 2 - We drove a lot for the first 6 hours, out of the salar. And then we saw mainly lagoons and flamingos. One was even called colored lagoon because it was colored with many colors. There was ton of wind when we were walking to see this lagoon. Next to one of the lagoons we ate lunch. There was one that called green lagoon, because when there is a lot of
wind it becomes green. But usually it has a normal color of water. We also went to see a tree made out of stone!! Then we rested a little and after we ate dinner.
Day 3 - We woke up really early at 4 am! to see gaysers! To get there at 6:oo to 6:30 becauos they finish abuot at 8:30. The area of the gasers was amazing - we saw pools of burning mud it also blooped bubbles of mud, blop blop blop.... It was very stinky because it had solphor in the way. Then we went to hot springs in which bathed. It was fun - the water were hot and outside it was cold. When we went out of the water, I felt a little bit sleepy I do not know why. Then we made our way back to Uyuni - it was about 7 hours in the jeep. We got to Uyuni at about 7pm.
I enjoyed this trip very much especially the salar because I never saw a desert made out of salt before.
Goodbye I miss you all,
Love,
Omer
