Today we grabbed a boat over to the nearby island called Isla del Sol (from Copacabana). This is where the Inca believed the sun was created and we saw the rock that is was supposdly created from. It wasn´t super spectacular but the 8km hike over the island made up for it!
It took us about 3 hours over the rolling hills from the north end to the south. It was a hot day and I loaded on the sunscreen and was careful to wear sunglasses (no repeats like the canyon). The pics were awesom and I can´t wait to get them on here.
On the boat ride home, Molly and Huges swam in the lake...it was a little too cold for me after the rafting experience but I got pictorial evidence of the deed.
That evening we were put to sleep with a spectacular thunderstorm. Thunder that shook the buildings and lighting that was blinding. It was great.
