Weird...Weird...Weird...

Etrange...

We left Puno early morning, going to Copacabana. We crossed the Peru-Bolivia border. Anthony needed a visa (135 dollars!).
We arrived in Copacabana in the afternoon. It is a little city on the coast of Lake Titicaca. We found a great hotel for a really good price. After walking around the city, we visited the really nice cathedral and decided to go explore the surroundings. We climbed up a mountain to the mirador where we hoped to see the sun set. Unfortunately, lots of clouds spoiled out view.

At night, we went out to a nice little restaurant.

The next morning, we took a boat to the Sun Island. We had forgotten to change the alarm clock time, but we managed to catch the last boat out. It was SO slow!! On the island, we hiked for about 5hours. The landscape was beautiful but we were getting fed up with the Bolivians´mentality. They tried to get money every 15 feet. Every inhabitant claimed rights and wanted money.
We had thought about staying a night on the island but changed our mind. We crossed the whole island, North to South. On our way back, we shared our picnic with a couple of Bolivian kids.

Finally back in Copacabana, we got on the night bus to La Paz. It was an interesting ride. We had to cross a river so the bus got on a sort of boat and we crossed slowly but safely.
In La Paz, we took a cab and tried to find a hotel...They were all full....We finally found one but the taxi driver refused to open the trunk if we didn´t give him more money. We got really mad and finally got our luggage for an extra 50cents....grrrrrr

The following day, we visited La Paz. We did not have a very good impression of the city...it was dirty, loud, big...a capital in a poor country. Since we didn´t have much time to visit, we decided to leave and go to a nicer city. We bought a ticket and took the overnight bus to Sucre.....
