Hello Everyone feel free to write a comment on the blog and we will try to respond, its nice to hear from people

We are now in Ushuaia, the most southern city in the world, after takng a 3.5 hour flight from Buenos Aires. It is really beautiful here, the city is small and surrounded by the snowcapped mountains of the Andes at the back and the Beagle channel at the front. We went for an afternoon cruise on the Beagle yesterday which was fantastic. We cruised out down the channel to see sea lion and bird colonies and to trek on one of the most southerly islands in the world. The view down the channel was amazing with just antartica 1000kms to the south of us. we also vsited the most southerly lighthouse in the world which is still used to guide ships round cape horn.

It is a really pretty town that in ski season really gets busy but out of season it has a chilled vibe which is nice to wander round and take in the scenary and watch the cruise ships dock on the way round cape horn and the ice breakers heading for antartica

It is pretty cool down here so warm weather clothes are out. We head to Porte Natales tommorrow, our first of many long bus rides, 15 hours! From there we will plan to go on our 6 day hike. The pictures look amazing so hopefully all the walking will be worth it.

Hey Em, read the next blog we did our trekking in Torres del Paine. No penguins yet, but we are doing a boat cruise today to see some icebergs and glaciers, so we will be bit colder than you are right now.

You do pick really nice places to go. These photos remind me of the south island of New Zealand. Snow capped mountains look amazing. I'm just back from Oz (got back yesterday). Charlie is so cute and gorgeous - I'm putting my photos on facebook today, so you'll have to have a look when you get the chance. x
