After arriving in Calafate at 2.00am, we decided to get up at 7.00am to trek on the famous Perito Moreno Glaciar. After the bus journey there you get on a boat which takes you even closer to the glaciar. We then actually got off and trekked on the actual glaciar for about an hour which was just amazing.
We finished off with a glass of Famous Grouse on the rocks and some chocolate - cool day, but not sure if it was worth 80GBP!

The town itself is quite small and not very cheap, we managed to find a good Parrilla in town! We ended up staying here quite a few days as we wanted to go trekking in Torres del Paine National Park. However they only really organise day trips from Calafate, so if you want to go and stay there for a few nights you need to catch a bus to Puerto Natales in Chile - more stamps!

Also Boucs and I had a clever idea of stocking up on fresh fruit and ham, cheese, bread etc, so that we don´t need to spend much in the park. Buying the shit in Argentina was not a good idea as you can´t take it across into Chile, so we had one hell of a feast on that bus!
