Whew - 24 hours on a bus where the seats don't recline. Ugh. The trip from Buenos Aries to Puerto Iguazu was so nice because we were able to get seats on a Primo Cama. This ride was only a Semi-Cama. And the bus was not as well taken care of as our first bus ride....ie. no whiskey or champagne to help you sleep. But we made it through and landed in Salta around noon. Lovely town. We stayed just off the square and had some of the best empanadas ever. For about 1 pesos each. Then we went in search of a place to rent a car as we really want to see this area on our own time. Found a wonderful Tourist office called Marina Turismo and got what we needed. Wandered around a bit more before venturing over to another part of the city to a local Penas and throughly enjoyed a show of traditional folk music and amazing dancing. Also had some authentic fabulous food where we once again indulge into more amazing meat. I think we are all looking forward to some days of just vegan meals.
