We have left the busy City of BA behind us, having received our certificates on Friday to confirm our 80 hours Spanish completed!

We went out for a meal to celebrate on Friday night with Eric and Claudia, our classmates of 4 weeks (we were the only 4 left from the original 8!!). Finally had the Argentinian Steak I've been waiting for - it was amazing and washed down with a very tasty Argentinian Malbec!

We left Elsa just after 7.15 to hail a cab (after having a last happy hour at our bar of course!) and got to the bus station just after 7.30pm ready to board our double decker for Viedma. We had paid a bit extra (approx £50 each) to get the fully reclining seats. There were 9 of them on the ground floor of the double decker and we had more room than we've ever had in a bus/plan/train!! Very comfy!

Which is just as well as we were on the bus for 14.5 hours!!!! Not much sleep but arrived safely in Viedma on the River Negra where we were booked into a hostel for one night - having sussed it out and seen how clean it is, we booked a second night and went for a wander - bit like a ghost town at midday on a Sunday! Think everyone must have been having a siesta!

we got a little boat over the river to the opposite town of Carmen de Patagones, bought some provisions and came back to hostel for our beer and crisps! (our own little happy hour!). We seem to be the only ones staying here, so we've even bought some pasta to make supper tonight!!! The first cooking I will have done in over 4 weeks!

Tomorrow we're getting a bus to nearby beach and, hopefully sea lion colony although we may be a little out of season :-(

Tuesday we'll head off on a 9 hour bus trip further South to Puerto Madryn (more sea lions and hopefully penguins as well as some Welsh villages as that is where the Welsh first settled in 1865!)

PS we are still working on attaching a version of the Iguazu video that you can all open!
