hullo again faithful readers!! i do realize there has been quite a gap between my last entry, my days have been somewhat filled with bus trips and beurocratic bullshite that brings a happy go lucky traveller like me down. Anyway.. so i cant quite recall where i left off, i reckon i was just at the end of B.A. After that we did 26 hours of bus and got ourselves to Iguazu Falls (google it or somethin.. its too much to bear honestly). One of the most breathtaking things i have seen sofar.. the raised platform thing they have walks you out about a thousand meters across a huge delta (two rivers joining) and finally curve around literally a metre from the edge.. i was the most terrified and awe struck ive been for a long time. Anyway! it was good.

So from there we took another 20ish hour bus to Salta, a very trendy but broken down style town with not much happening on a sunday! street markets everywhere, hipsters and oldsters, youngsters and soldiers all minglin it up.. also a cool vibe. the hostel we sayed at had been built by a couple of aussie travellers about 7 years ago (lucky lucky guys!) all they do now is play foosball and laugh at how ignorant we all are.
From salta we have arrived in La Plata (i think..) which is riiight on the border of arg. and bolivia.. tomorrow is a 5 minute walk over the border, then a massive train ride to about 2 hours before la paz (the capital). its kinda terrifying how big this country is, after covering about 90%!o(MISSING)f thailand in under 4 weeks with time to spare, its hard to fathom all these 20 hour bus rides, day after day with seemingly no progress. nonetheless we are certainly soaking up almost every climate possible.. harsh, wild cold plains, andes jagged rocks, concrete city, utter jungle, and now baja (10 foot cacti and all). strange stuff but amazing.
okay so i think thats about me for now, off to get a bit of rest, a nice cerveza and a long shower.
chao! lockie
oh also i forgot, i got a serynge(?) in the ass for a blocked ear i had for about a week..(apparently due to 5 flights and altitude changes of about 4000ft).. anyway i went to the doctor and she gave me this prescription.. normal normal.. but when i got it filled it was a needle!! agh. apparently its normal procedure for chemists to give u the shot, but i didnt know so i had almost self injected when my hostel owner freaked out at me in the bathroom and sent me down the road. funny stuff.. 😊
byebye for now!
