Tropical plants
This is a wild ginger plant that's found in a lot of tropical countries. Also known as spiked spiralflag ginger or Indian head ginger. They are really pretty, we have them at our villas on Koh Samui and they are lovely!

Wild ginger.... the mystery is solved. They certainly are pretty. They are exotically tropical.
