School Kids

We visited a couple of primary schools during our rural homestay as part of a research project we had to complete. Our topic was Universal Primary Education which makes school free for the students This becomes problematic for the school when coupled with a corrupt government who underfunds them. This school has very little money to function with, several of the classrooms are conducted in mud huts like this one.

So I'm extremely busy this week writing several papers and finalizing plans for the practicum. I don't have time to write up a long blog about my experience in eastern Uganda.
