The first of many Maypoles

Every village, big and little, has these in Bavaria. After May 1st all of them had an evergreen perched at the very top. Like Christmas. Usually the signs attached below indicate the various local trades in town. Naturally the bottom and biggest one here in Munich was for beer.
Arrival in Munich with Nowhere to Go (So let's drink beer)

Things were going a bit too smoothly. In fact, we arrived in Munich a few minutes earlier than expected. Our hotel for two nights in Munch would be the LetoMotel München Nord just two U-Bahn stops from BMW Welt and across the highway from Olympic Stadium.
