We decide that today we will take a day trip to Nara, which we read was the capital of Japan in the eighth century. It is about an hour by train south of Kyoto. We get off at Nara station and walk through the city towards the main attractions. We stop for breakfast. The restaurant has finished serving breakfast, so I order a pizza.
